The London Tweed Run.

Two fingers politely to the world.

This is the London Tweed Run- an example of the straight faced silliness this country does so well.

Without realizing it the participants are morning an age before the 'sex war' when men and women respected one another.

The outfits are jokes, of course- but tweed carries the same message when worn seriously.

All in all a far less strenuous alternative to the Olympics. Tally ho!

Slightly off topic but for a totally surreal experience view the Chap Olympiad held this year (as in every other year) in London. Or the splendidly weird (and secretly wise) Idlers Academy. Enjoy.

  1. I hate the way people dress today. Every time I watch a movie from another era I always have the same reaction. Why don't we dress like that anymore?
