The gentleman shopper.

Cordings of Picadilly
The hidden ethics of tweed.

The gentleman spends seldom but he spends very well.

When he does spend it is usually on the highest quality that he can find. We will never find a brand name on him. His money buys quality, not prestige. He does not need to impress.

English clothing generally follows this ethic. It is rude to remind others of what we have and they do not. Their are English brands such as Burberry but these are better regarded overseas than they are here.
