We no longer notice the passing of the seasons and so we no longer notice the passing of our years.
Nations mark occasions to remind us that a nation is more than a lump of mud in the sea. By joining them we gain something priceless- the knowledge of who we are.
Much of the idiocy we see in the West and much of the unhappiness we see is caused by a sense of emptiness and rootlessness. Marking the days of our culture is free therapy.
We should celibate what we hold in common.
