The Gentleman has no Master.

Charles Darwin looking a bit like God.
The defining characteristic of the Gentleman is that he has no master. He engages with the world as a amateur and works for the joy of creating.

This freedom has been a tremendous gift to the world. Free individuals can tell the truth. This may be expressed in writing, in art or even in scientific research. A man with a master must work with one eye to his patron and cannot upset them very much. The gentleman is free to tell the truth.

The more free creators we have in the world the more truthful and creative the world will become. We can all play our part in this by becoming free. Learn to live cheaply. Work part time. Find your passion.
